11 O’clock and Alllllll is well
***I had trouble logging into Tumblr. The ethernet cord made everything French. I figured it out though :)*** (From the mind of Jessica Grande)
So here I am, in France. Just earlier this morning I was in Barcelona.
Barcelona was one of the most romantic, beautifully designed cities I have ever seen. Young couples and old couples walking hand in hand down on the beach strip. Kissing and smiling at each other enjoying life at that moment in time. Hundreds of people walking down the markets called “Las Ramblas”. It’s wonderful. Its the greatest thing I have ever seen. The stress free, do your own thing environment taking “Siestas” is awesome. Maybe when I get home that can be my excuse for everything. “But mother, I am taking my siesta”.
Our tour guide Jessica (yeah, same name as me ;)) said that Barcelona is one of the most modern cities, but the architecture is so traditional and beautiful. Not one house is the same as you walk down a street. Did I mention the Sangria? Sangria in a box, Sangria CHEAPER then a tin of Pringles. I am on a Sangria high. I have never tasted a drink so sweet and refreshing, Sangria nothing like this before.
Leaving Barcelona after a couple days was hard. After all there is so much to see in so little time. We did have a chance to see the Sagrata Familia, which is a cathedral under construction for over 200 years, and also Le Pedrera, which is an old apartment complex designed by Antoni Gaudi, a genius architect. All this in just a couple days. Doing all of this traveling and sight seeing and walking I can say I actually do understand the metro system in Barcelona. ;)
And now after a four hour bus ride here we are in the beautiful town of Saint Chinian, France. From one country to another, and one totally different look and feel, but still just as exciting and relaxing. The most quant little town I have ever seen. Once again, no house the same (must be a European thing). As I walked through the streets passing rivers and houses with roses climbing up the sides, I feel calm, and relaxed. All I could think of was “I cant believe I’m here right now. In France. In Europe, experiencing this. And I wish the people that I absolutely adore could be here with me.” All I can do is take pictures and try to do this beauty justice. The beauty is hard to explain. The jaw dropping beauty. But I will try to do it justice. (Totally impossible). It even smells good here. Not a single street in this small town smells bad. So delightfully smelling.
And now the clock from the church down the street chimes 11 at night. And all is well. Goodnight.
P.S Photos to come soon. Unfortunately the internet does not work so well here and wont post anything other then text.
